Taser M26 Waiver for Bail Bonds and Security Firms

ADVANCED TASERĀ® M26 WAIVER
FOR LICENSED BAIL BONDS AND SECURITY FIRMS
The ADVANCED TASER was developed and intended for law enforcement/correctional use
only and not the general public consumers. However, there are exceptions for use outside of the
sworn law enforcement community for those professional organizations, which work in a law
enforcement support role.
1. Written request must come from a state licensed security firm, state licensed bounty hunter,
or from a bona fide law enforcement trainer who trains law enforcement (i.e., a TASER
International, Inc. Certified ADVANCED TASER Instructor or Certified Master
ADVANCED TASER Instructor).
2. The request must be accompanied by a written recommendation from your local law
enforcement agency on agency letterhead.
3. The request must be in writing sent on company letterhead to:

4. The letter must include a copy of the license and/or picture ID.
5. The letter must include the following statement with signature of company officer or
director:
"The ADVANCED TASER M26 is being requested by:
________________________________________________________________________
(state your company).
We intend to use this system for the protection of individual officers only in their duties
as a professional security officer. These units will not be resold to the general public and
may only be used under company guidelines for official company use only in the
enforcement of state licensed security applications."
