http://www.bellinghamherald.com/northwest/story/128015.html Jul, 12, 2007 WSU police to start carrying stun guns The Associated Press Seattle, WA -- Washington State University police will start carrying stun guns while on patrol. That decision came after the Pullman Police Department added Tasers to its arsenal. "We decided to see what other universities in the state and the area were doing with respect to Tasers," said Rich Heath, who oversees the WSU police. "We found many of them had Tasers and felt they were a good tool for their officers." University police are already undergoing training with the weapons. The plan is to have one stun gun for every officer on patrol starting around Aug. 1.
